  38. Does anyone know of any existing bit regen circuit add-ons for the TNC-1/2
  39. clones?  I've come up with a single-chip add-on to the modem-disconnect header
  40. that seems to work and still allows the TNC to talk when it needs to.  But I
  41. want to see how other folks have done this.

  61. broadcasts and map displays.  A station with information to contribute
  62. transmits, and all stations on frequency receive and display it.

  84. I also have DR-1200 that I tried to modify for 9600 about a year ago.
  85. I got a Mod from the factory that turned out to not work! )-:
  86. I have since removed the Mod but I think a correct Mod for the DR-1200
  87. was published in CQ in early '93 - May, I think, but I know it was '93.

  89. I have not tried to find the Mod or try it yet.

  124. Awhile ago I posted an article asking for comments about GTOR.  There 
  125. were very few comments!!

  127. Once again, GTOR users, is GTOR all it's cracked up to be, or is it not?  
  128. I'm a PK232 user, so have no other way to evaluate this new mode, at 
  129. least for the moment!

  154. I've had GTOR for about 2 months ... I haven't found it an improvement
  155. over Pactor in keyboard to keyboard contacts.  But I haven't had enough
  156. experience in trying file transfers to see if it works better on a
  157. longer file.

  173. First of all, I appologise if this is already a FAQ somewhere, but I
  174. couldn't see it.

  176. I am relatively new to packet and using an MFJ1274 - TNC2 clone.
  177. Wish I'd got into packet years ago, as I'm only just realising the
  178. level of connectivity offered.  Anyway, being an Internet fan (adict?)
  179. I quite naturally picked up on the fact that some of us are using TCP/IP
  180. software with TNC's instead (as well as) the usual simple terminal
  181. packages being used by amateurs like myself.

  183. My TNC has KISS mode available and I've downloaded and used the KA9Q NOS
  184. TCP/IP prog.  I have managed, through trial & error to attach to my COM2 
  185. serial port with:
  186.      ax25 mycall G0FLB
  187.      attach asy 0x2f8 3 ax25 ax0 1024 576 9600 
  188. I have even managed to make an initial connection to a local digipeater,
  189. but once connected, I don't see any text etc..
  190. I DO see stations using the 'ax25 heard ax0' command.

  192. What do I do next ?

  194. What am I doing wrong ?
  195. Why am I so ignorant ??

  197. I am really keen to explore this mode, as I love experimenting. After all
  198. that's what our hobby is all about - n'est pas.
